The comparison

What is the best CRM for an immigration law firm in 2026?

There is no single best CRM. If your team works leads inside Docketwise, start with Docketwise's built-in CRM. If you want a legal intake CRM your own staff runs, Lawmatics and Clio Grow are the main choices. If you want phones, texts, booking and follow-up set up and tuned for you, a done-for-you option such as Rocket Reach fits. HubSpot suits firms that want a free, general CRM.

Already on Docketwise

Do immigration firms need a separate CRM if they already use Docketwise?

Not always. Docketwise includes a CRM on its Pro plan and up, with a website form, lead reminders, status tracking and lead reports.1, 2 That is enough if a staff member calls and texts each lead by hand. A separate intake CRM earns its place when leads arrive after hours, in Spanish, or faster than your team can reply. Your case work still stays in Docketwise.

Stay with Docketwise CRM if:
Low lead volume.A staff member owns follow-up.Few after-hours calls.
Add an intake CRM if:
Ad leads at night and weekends.Spanish-speaking callers.No-shows.Old leads nobody calls back.

Lawmatics vs Clio Grow vs Docketwise Leads: which fits an immigration practice?

Lawmatics has the most immigration detail on its site: visa-type pipelines, routing of family, H-1B and asylum leads, and SMS templates in Spanish or English.3 Clio Grow fits firms already on Clio Manage, with intake forms, e-signature, online booking, text reminders and conflict checks.5 Docketwise CRM fits firms that want leads and cases in one Docketwise login.1 All three are software your own team configures and runs.

English and Spanish

Which CRMs can text and follow up with leads in Spanish?

On the vendor pages we checked, Lawmatics is the only self-run CRM that names Spanish, with Spanish or English SMS replies and bilingual intake forms.3 Clio Grow's page and Docketwise's CRM page do not mention Spanish.1, 5 Rocket Reach replies by text in the language the lead wrote in and supports Spanish on AI voice calls. Test any tool with a real Spanish message before you buy.

Three kinds of help

What is the difference between a CRM, an AI receptionist and a done-for-you intake service?

A CRM is the record: who reached out, from where, what was said and what happens next. An AI receptionist answers calls and texts and books consultations. A done-for-you intake service has a provider build and tune both, while your staff keep every decision. Most software vendors sell the first. Answering services sell the second. Rocket Reach combines all three for immigration firms.

Which options connect to Docketwise, Clio or LollyLaw?

Clio Grow pairs with Clio Manage, and Lawmatics says it integrates with Clio and MyCase.3, 5 Docketwise's Zapier app can create or update contacts, not cases.9 LollyLaw's site names no integrations, so plan on a manual handoff.10 Rocket Reach can hand off to Docketwise, Clio, Lawmatics and MyCase through Zapier, Make or an API, mapped during setup. Before you book demos

What should you ask to see in a CRM demo?

Ask the vendor to run your real intake, live, not a slide deck. Use a test lead in English and one in Spanish. Watch what happens at each step, and time it. If a step needs a staff member to click, write that down, because it will not happen at 9pm on a Saturday. These ten steps cover the full path from lead to signed client.

CRM demo checklist10 steps
1Lead form lands in the CRM with its source.
2Automatic text goes out within minutes.
3Missed call gets a text back.
4Lead books a consultation online.
5No-show gets a follow-up sequence.
6Retainer goes out after the consult.
7Unsigned retainer gets follow-up.
8Signed client moves to your case software.
9Spanish intake works by text and phone.
10Reports show source, booked, showed and retained.
By firm size

Which setup fits a solo firm, a growing firm and a high-volume firm?

A solo attorney with few leads can start with the CRM inside their case software and a simple booking link. A growing firm with ad leads usually needs fast replies, after-hours coverage and Spanish follow-up, which is where an intake CRM or a done-for-you setup earns its place. A high-volume firm needs all of that plus staff queues, escalation rules and reporting by source.

FAQ

Best immigration CRM: quick answers

Is Docketwise a CRM?

Docketwise is case management software that includes a CRM on its Pro and Advanced plans.

How much does Lawmatics cost?

Lawmatics does not list prices. Its plans are Essential, Premium and Enterprise, with a 3-user minimum, and AI and SMS cost extra.

Does Clio Grow come with Clio Manage?

Clio's Elite plan includes Grow. On Core and Signature, Grow is an add-on. Starter does not include it.

Is HubSpot good for law firms?

HubSpot's free CRM covers contacts, deal pipelines and reporting for up to two users. It has no legal intake features, so a firm builds those itself.

Who owns Docketwise?

Docketwise joined MyCase in 2025.

Will AI replace our CRM?

No. AI answers and drafts messages, but it still needs a record of each lead, a pipeline and rules. The CRM is where the AI does its work.
